Today we officially start work on a new site, skillsfortrade.com. This site will not only be one that is pretty unique as far as it's content, but also that the functionality will be custom built as a brand new component.
Members will be able to set up and pay for a length of time, set up their profile and find other members to barter or trade servics with. It seems to me that this is a great solution to our economic state. Say you're a sign maker and your work van is in need of a new paint job. Join the site and find a body shop in need of a new sign for their business. Simple as that!
Building this site on Joomla's core will allow for massive amounts of people to join and trade. The new custom built component will make it a one of a kind.
Who knows? we may even offer this new componet up for sale...
