One of the coolest new toys I have seen for Joomla in a while is this handy tool that will post a URL to any new article you write and publish to your Joomla web site. Once configured, you never have to...
- manually find the article on the front end of your site
- copy the url
- go to tinyurl.com
- convert the link
- go to Twitter and log-in
- post the link to your new article
...again!!!
This is a simple install and configuration for your Joomla! site and can be done in about and hour, including communication time between you and Joomla! Crafters. Perfect for any site that updates/adds new content on a regular basis. It can also be set up so it only works for specific areas of your site. For example you can automatically post your news articles to Twitter while excluding say any new FAQ you may add to your site.
This really is a perfect solution if you use Twitter to pull visitors to your site. We used it to post this article to our Twitter account.
