Joomla! Crafters now offers websites administration for your Joomla site.

Just because Joomla makes it easy to administrate your site with its award winning CMS (Content Management System), does not mean you have the time to learn how. This is especially true when your website ends up being huge and full of content. The point is, just because you can, does not mean you should. There are many tricks to running an efficient site without causing errors and breaking the front end of the website that viewers see, and if you make a mistake that requires professional intervention, it might end up costing you a good chunk of change to correct things.

Why not take advantage of our new service that allows your site to be updated correctly and without running the risk of costly debugging.

Basically it works like this:

  1. First we discuss your monthly update needs. You might only need an article or two put in every month, or you might need many. Or you may have images, products ,links etc... that need regular maintenance.
  2. Next we give you an estimate of what our administrative service will cost you on a monthly basis and work out a schedule for times that you will provide us your new content that needs to be installed. You might just send us updates once a month, or once a week. This is all determined once we evaluate your needs.
  3. Lastly, once the terms of your administrative needs are agreed upon, we begin billing in 6 or 12 month cycles, send you your finalized schedule and we will update your site according to that schedule.

Please note that we do not not refund for months that you do not have updates, but we do re-evaluate your cost at the end of your first 6 months to see if monthly fees need to be adjusted to the average amount of work you have us do. However we will also not charge extra for a month that is, let's say, 3 times more than we estimated during the first six months. Again, we will log our time and re-evaluate the monthly charge after the first 6 months to better suit the work we do for you.

What are the benefits to have us administrate your site?

  • You write and provide the content you want on your site just they way you intend it. When you write the content or simply provide what ever you want on the site, there is very little risk of us having to edit and re-edit until you are satisfied. We even optimize images and video for quick loading as part of our administrative service.
  • We install it where you want without the risk of you having an "accident". The admin area is a big scary place with a lot of functionality. One wrong click may break something on the front end. 99% of the time, what is broken can be fixed, but why pay us or any developer 35-50$ an hour to do it if you can avoid an accident in the first place.
  • Scheduling content updates keeps you on track. We know that a schedule is sometimes hard create and follow, but since we do all the scheduling all you have to do is worry about gathering your content and sending it to us.
  • No need for you to remember HOW to work around things in the administrator area. Let's face it, when you don't do something on a regular basis it can be hard to remember. We work inside Joomla everyday and therefore know right where to go.

Now sometimes it comes up that you want to start showing video on your site or you want to provide your users with something new. For example: Lets say you want to add a really cool image gallery that will display a bunch of photos of events that you host. But you don't have a gallery on your site yet. This means that we will need to setup, install and configure one. That part of the job is not included with monthly administration and will be billed separately as an individual job. However, any content inserted into the gallery thereafter will be included. Most of the common types of add-ons are listed and priced in our "Quick Jobs" section.
